a tiny adventurer runs down an endless stairwell spiraling down without railings through statue lines floors of a neglected castle. The image is framed by spiders looking inwards at the lost adventurer as well as two cloaked old women clutching daggers and holding out a bell in front of them so though it were a guiding lantern. A gray dwarf with mole like hands and natural scaley stone like armor on his head and arms. The beard is brustly like porcupine quills and his exposed chest reveals a floating ball of magma in a hole where his heart should be. His eyes glow like candles.

A unicorn with bug like features. The spiky beetle like body armor covers blue wings just barely poking out the haunches. its whole body has a pearly and oil slick like rainbow hue. Its face splits into mandlbles like that of an ant. the tail curves into a long stinger tipped whip longer than its whole body.
Like the stinging wasp fairies, all fae creatures in #Aspirant are a little "buggy". They crawl out from the flesh of the corpse of an old goddess like maggots and all retain insectine features. Most castle dwellers have forgotten what a real unicorn looks like.
In #Aspirant the only true dragon is an eldritch god of perfection, that takes beings and twists them to be more perfected (ie. like themself) So sometimes you just get monkey dragons. #ttrpg #wip
Goblinoids in the #Aspirant ttrpg setting have a special affinity for the giant microbes or "Macrobs" that roam the castle, which is great if you are a believer in weird little guy solidarity.

A tall and spindly red goblin flicks a magic wand creating a swirling cloud of red and orange magic. He is wearing long coattails with no sleeves and a mask reminiscent of a knights slitted eye visor. His silver hair is done up in a ponytail that sticks out the back of his head like a broom. I cannot stress this enough. He is very cool.

Trying my hand at making a png tuber style character in Honk. This is the Wurmpus. Going back to some of our Labyrinth inspo, I really wanted a worm guy that lives in the wall. He winds through the wall, eavesdropping and picking up gossip.

A human figure that has been shaped and warped into a shape that can serve as a trasnport vehicle. The head has been reshaped into an open topped fleshy box containing bags and cloth. It is perched on a rib cage tipped sideways and six elongated arms stick out from it like a beetle. The hands are stretched and broad to take the weight. A lantern hangs from a hook jutting out from the corner of its head; the only light in this dark castle corridor. The entire creatue is fleshy and pink, ribboned with bruised looking veins.

A castle interior gazing upwards between endlessly tall walls. Bright light from above obscures how how the ceiling really is, if there even is a ceiling. bridges extend over the gap, resceding into the distance and bending at sharp crooked angles. The floor above you has crumbled away and something has clearly fallen through breaking a massive hole in the bridge closest to you. A rickety rope bridge makes up the gap.

Out of the mass of bones and ink there are two other winding necks with skulls on the end and extra hands the write with quills and pour over documents.

high above a layer of clouds is a forest of gold and marble castle towers. Absurdly tall and thin, most of them lean in odd angles. a tiny red cloaked figure crosses a rickety white stone stair way the the tower closest to us. it is leaning so far that it might fall soon. Extra buttresses have been added to keep it upright but there are holes where the brick has fallen away. A red dragon wraps himself around the tower and looks down and the figure on the stair.

What can charitably be called a unicorn. It is more like a pearly and iridescent beetle that has been stretched into the shape of a horse. Its legs are ant like and its long neck is made of black organic armored plates with a rainbowy oil slick sheen. Butterfly wings poke out from the armor on its haunches. Its horn is more like a rhinoceros beetle's. It has a long whipy tail that ends in a claw. Misty silver hairs hang down from its tail and neck. On close inspection, the shape of its horse snout is actually made up of four bug mandibles that each end in a fang. It stares into you with milky white perfectly circular eyes.

All the fae creatures in our upcoming Aspirant system are going to be insectine and just a little bit psychedelic. Inspired in part by the norse concept of creatures being spawned like grubs and maggots from the bodies of a dead god.
Which means our unicorns are REAL weird.
