It has a pure white face and upper throat. Its long beak is black. It has two bright yellow legs visible. In the background is the blurry water and rippled reflection of the reeds and trees at the edge of the pond. The heron has a very visible yellow eye with a black pupil. On this morning, the water of the pond was clearer than I've seen it, and this heron was already starting to head closer to the water to see what it could catch in the early morning sunlight.
