Busy presentation from Xreal, which has shared an update on Project Aura (70+ degrees FOV), confirmed shipping process on One Pro glasses, and announced Neo, a power bank / video out accessory for handheld games consoles #AWE25

Wow - Snap CEO Evan Spiegel confirms that a consumer version of its augmented reality Snap Spectacles will becoming next year, with a far smaller form factor and lighter weight. Very big news, if Snap can get the form factor right #AWE25

Other major updates: expansion of the XR Sports Alliance, support from key partners Meta and Google, and announcement of plans to support smart rings which act as a controller for smart glasses in addition to health tracking. Jam packed! #AWE25

Big news from #AWE25: Qualcomm unveils the Snapdragon AR1+ Gen 1 chipset for AI smart glasses to more efficiently power devices and in a smaller form factor than before. Can run language models on device for standalone use. Major update at a time when AI glasses are gathering momentum

As always it’s an interesting opening keynote at #AWE25. Some bold claims about AI needing XR and the immediacy of the opportunity. But, the lineup of enterprise attendees and exhibitors is very solid. Probably should have been a more central theme of the keynote
