Okay, just one more… for today! #AnimalArtTuesday The bunny who visits our backyard. I just can’t stop taking its pic! #backyardfriends #inmygarden #bunny #eastcoastkin #photography #nature #bunniesofbluesky
Also, doesn’t fit any of the themes today (except perhaps #AnimalArtTuesday) but I remain deeply entertained by the bunny who visits our backyard. I just can’t stop taking its pic! #backyardfriends #inmygarden #bunny #eastcoastkin #photography #nature
A green grasshopper nymph perched on a blade of grass.
It's a baby grasshopper. 🌿

3 low resolution screenshots from the driveway camera. They show a white cat with large grey saddle-like spots, very suspicious of a self-refilling water bowl near the more familiar food bowl. They are set next to the trellis base of the lifted porch. The third photo is a clearer shot of the cat greeting my car. (The front bumper is popular for scent marking.)
Saddlecat is Suspicious of Strange New Bowl.
This is one of 5 regulars that sleep under the porch. They came with the house, but we haven't officially met yet.
This guy froze at the corner & wouldn't eat until he'd settled his nerves about the new Water Globe Of Unexpectedness 😆

Screenshot of a Ring camera alert for the Back Porch, 7:10 am Image shows a small brown deck between a screened porch and the back door. A grey geometric rug is suffering the recent rain on the deck. A green tarp covers a grill by some overgrown bushes, with grass lawn beyond. Of note is the large brown figure, blurred and vaguely defined, that seems to be standing by the back door. It seems avian, with a long narrow tail, short broad wings, and a thick round chest and head. There is a white patch on the chest. Due to perspective, it is nearly as wide as the door, and looks nearly four feet tall. It clearly seems too big for the pet door. (But if you play the video, it's a tiny hummingbird, not a 4-foot-tall chicken standing on the deck.)
So, some kind of velociraptor came to our back door this morning. Not sure what they were selling, I didn't go answer it.
I think we really need to patch the fence. Soon.
...6 ft might not be high enough, though
