Well I am covered in black cocoa, but I believe I have successfully made my own chocolate wafer cookies! The cost of my Irish chocolate whiskey cheesecakes is gonna go up though because I used to be able to buy a couple boxes for like $7 and now I have to make them from scratch 😭 #BakingAdventures

Won’t know for sure until it’s cool enough to cut open, but it expanded sluggishly in the oven and there is no ear, so I think I’m pretty certain too much hydration was the issue. I guess I’ll just have to try again next week! #BakingAdventures

I just took the first loaf out of the brotform to bake and it wasn’t holding its structure well at all. BUT the nice thing about that is that it will at least be a different result from previous bakes and I’m pretty sure I know what I did wrong! #BakingAdventures

Trying to bake bread again today! I talked to the KABC Baker’s Hotline after last time’s sad loaves and we think I’m not hydrating enough, so I added more water this time. Autolysing now and we shall see when it’s kneading time… #BakingAdventures
