I’m working on a stitch gauge for a hat, something I’ve always avoided in the past by knitting top down. I’m going to try out the Tin Can Knits app experience with the Barley Hat. I’m also trying out Norwegian purl. Yarn is #handspun brown BFL.

This is my fifth creative project of the new year, a quick #BarleyHat from Tin Can Knits. I’m testing an experimental yarn called Tiger Lily, and it’s working out really well!🧶

First creative project of the new year complete!
I used the #BarleyHat pattern from #TinCanKnits to test a hand-dyed colorway—this is the yarn I named “Red Fox Agate”, and the pattern lets me quickly see how it works with garter, stockinette, and rib stitches.🧶
Ready for our first frost!! Finished this morning ! Which pompom? #knitting #Tincanknits #barleyhat #pinkandgreen #hat
