A cairn built of many small grey rocks. At the centre, a burial chamber formed by large stone slabs. In the background, a grassy field, then trees, distant hills, and a slate-grey sky.
Inside the burial chamber, looking away from the entrance. Drystone walls lead into the distance, where a shaft of light breaks through at the end of the tunnel. The space is enclosed above by flat slabs of rock, some of which have shifted to allow further light into the chamber. The atmosphere is nevertheless dank and dark.

Today I checked out these two #BronzeAge Round #Barrows I’ve walked past possibly hundreds of times but never noticed! Very depleted but there! Nice line of #IronAge Cross Dyke, and a #Neolithic #LongBarrow in that part of #StandishWoods #Stroud
