It's a great listen every night. Tonight, this ethereal track was one of my favorites: "She Holds A Song For I" by Irini Arabatzi: iriniarabatzi.bandcamp.com/album/she-ho...

The arts are a source of catharsis. Listening to Beethoven's 5th is one for me today. Such beautiful, clean, sustaining energy... #BBCR3

Hollie was brilliant on this weeks #BBCR3 #PrivatePassions - her stories of the impact of her grandmother’s positive
influence on her upbringing really reminded me of my own “granny” who I still miss more than 3 decades after she passed.

The BBC just needs to divert its news funding into Radio 3.

That would solve all its problems.

Private Passions - Hilary Cottam - BBC Sounds Michael Berkeley's guest is the writer, innovator and social entrepreneur Hilary Cottam.

Very interesting episode with Hilary Cottam. #BBCR3 "Working with communities across Britain and in Europe, Cottam has worked to collaboratively design approaches that have changed thousands of lives." [Wikipedia]

The BBC Sounds splash screen image for "Night Tracks". It shows a night scene, comprising a silhouetted figure in the distance on high ground, looking skywards at the stars of the Milky Way. The colour.palette is black, mauve, purple, deep, but dark, violet blue and whites. Superimposed upon this image is a symbol for "press to play" (a white circle surrounding a triangle), with the BBC logo at the top. At the foot is the program title in white text, and the description "Immersive music for after-hours".

Getting into this. I know I can "listen whenever you want", but, it really feels better, well, at night. An eclectic diversity of sound, presented in a fittingly "minimalist" tone by the superb Sara Mohr-Pietsch and @hannahpeel.bsky.social Just drift away into the Cosmos.
