We should have a whimsical (ironic way) award each morning for the most surprising items in short supply because of the Gulf conflict #bbcr4today My favourite so far was the threat to the English summer cricket season - containers of county standard cricket balls on way were stuck in transit
Utterly misleading headline #bbcr4today - saying MPs wouldnt get a vote on EU dynamic alignment rules. Not so: they'd have the same powers as any secondary legislation. Its not a betrayal - its standard constitution in UK.
Every time we get extended news pieces on Scotland - population 5.5M - I wonder when we’re going to get similar deep pieces on every other such area of the UK, all 11(ish) such other areas. Just because they’ve self labelled shouldn’t give them so much air time. #bbcr4today
Of all the stories at the moment #BBCr4today was leading with Labour betray Brexit nonsense about dynamic alignment all because of @dailymail.co.uk @thesun.co.uk etc - meanwhile in Hungary the Putin/Trump right was stuffed and Trump’s war continues - oh and Pope Leo has got under his skin
Great point from @akikohart.bsky.social @libertyhq.bsky.social on #BBCr4today: using our v broad definition of terrorism to ban Palestine Action undermines confidence in our anti-terrorism strategy and the law should be tightened (btw it was promised when the law passed it wouldn’t apply to protest)
#BBCr4today, Tots TV’s Anne Wood: Parents want programmes that are ‘more calm, more meaningful+funnier..more emotionally grounded ‘money for #children’s #television has been completely withdrawn+the market has disappeared..no money in streaming for making these programmes.’
To anyone who is flabbergasted by #BBCr4Today 's predicatably slanted editorial failure to see Israel's genocidal malignancy for what it is, I recommend this Glenn Dieson interview with global banking specialist, Alex Krainer.

Yvette Cooper in #BBCR4today:
“The PM took a different decision to the president of the United States”
The UK aided and abetted Israeli genocide in Gaza.
The UK government are desperately trying to whitewash their part in genocide.
Don’t let them.
@yvettecooper-mp.bsky.social
On #BBCR4today right now:
“UK cannot outsource its foreign policy”
The UK aided and abetted Israeli genocide in Gaza.
We will not forget.
Yvette Cooper will just not condemn Netanyahu.
Shameful
#BBCR4today
Question for the Foreign Secretary, Yvette Cooper, in interview with #BBCr4Today this morning.
Why is UK continuing to provide complex military support for Israel?

There's a 'debate' underway over a certain singer, his abhorrent statements etc, mental illness (claimed), and redemption/forgiveness. #bbcr4today Can it really be the case that redemption/forgiveness is simply a matter of saying 'sorry guv, i got it wrong. Now can I go on making my millions pls?'.
"Man travelled further than ever before"? Seriously #BBCR4Today? Is there or is there not a woman in that capsule? Did women work on that mission? Humans travelled further.
Oddly, on #BBCR4Today they beeped out the word "fucking" but did include the "Praise be to Allah" bit.
Two contrasting reports on #bbcr4today today: First the chap who in 1981 completed visiting all 92 league football grounds, and 47 years later has now done all 2500 non-league grounds. Second, the astronauts about to be the furthest humans ever from earth. Which is the bigger journey?
I've been listening to #BBCR4Today since about 1970.
The list of excellent presenters is a long one and top of my list - of the worst presenters - is Mr Webb.

Did
@BBCr4today
really just do a whole package about drilling in the N Sea without once even mentioning #climate change? And not having anyone challenging the one-sided claims of former BP boss? So irresponsible #bbcr4today
They did indeed, and they do this over and over again. The incoming editor has to read the riot act to TODAY presenters about their incompetent journalism and disregard of climate policy in asking questions about energy choices. #bbcr4today
Yes #bbcr4today is shocking on #climate. They regularly give a platform to airport bosses wanting expansion without any challenge. And when did they last have a #climate campaigner on to provide some balance? I can't remember them ever doing so.
We need to mass protest this utterly irresponsible journalism! #bbcr4today
Gave up listening to #bbcr4today when Mishal Hussein quit.

#BBCR4Today Has #Starmer found the way to trump #Reform - capture the #Remain vote and ride the #antiTump bandwagon to which #Farage is welded? Could be a winner!
#BBCR4Today Why are #Starmer and #Streeting screwing with the #Doctors? Have they learnt nothing from the #Pandemic? #Doctors and #Nurses are amongst the most valuable people we have. Look after them!
The businesses minister was getting a hard time on #BBCR4Today, but he at least he was saying that minimum wage increases are a good thing and businesses shouldn't be "supported" by lower wages for staff.
Might be a controversial view, but the best interviewers give the interviewee a chance to respond. Even when it is Peter Kyle. #bbcr4today
#BBCR4Today
This is SERIOUS shit …
😤 James Murray on the energy crisis on #BBCR4Today
🤖 He was like a parody of the politician-as-automaton
🤔 All he needed to do was to show a bit of empathy and speak like a human being
☹ No wonder Labour is just so unpopular
