Fallstreak holes, aka hole punch clouds, circular/oval gaps in mid-to high-level clouds like altocumulus; seen this AM in #PortCoquitlam. They form when supercooled droplets suddenly freeze, often as in this case, triggered by aircraft, creating ice crystals that fall & leave a widening hole.
