A fine grained dark grey-brown rock hosting large white mineral masses within it
On this side of the rock, the white mineral masses are larger and more irregularly shaped and there are some reddish blotches. You can also see reddish reaction rims around the white minerals that are probably plagioclase

Had an unexpected visit from my best friend and we went beach combing. She found this great rock for me. I'm no expert, but I think it's a porphyritic basalt (with plagioclase phenocrysts). Maybe the 1.3 billion year old Öje basalt from Sweden? FWIW it's heavy for its size.
