If on a quick glance you thought this is a bee, you'd be mistaken. It's very bumblebee-like, but something just isn't quite right. Still, what a fantastic mimic! A robber fly.

This is the Orange-legged Drone Fly. This fly is a bee mimic in shape, colouring, and behaviour. They are prolific pollinators and, unlike other flies, eat nectar and do not bite us. It cannot sting but depends on its appearance to scare animals away from eating it. #beemimic
