Maël is placing books in a bookshelves. We see him from the back. Someone is placing a letter on his book trolley. When he goes back to the trolley, he sees the letter and takes it. Someone is watching Maël reading the letter from behind. Maël turns around and sees Giroflée, trying to hide behind a bookshelve. Giroflée is too shy so he runs away. Maël wants to go after him but doesn’t. He smiles and blushes, still holding the letter in his hands.
The next day, Giroflée arrives early at the library, yawning. Arriving where he always sits, he sees a letter waiting for him. He takes it and reads it: « Cher Giroflée, J’aimerais beaucoup être ton valentin. Voici mon numéro: 555-555-5555 Maël. » At the same time he finishes reading Maël’s letter, he hears a squeaky sound coming his way. In the corridor, Maël is passing with his trolley. He stops and waves at Giroflée, blushing.
