A Different Way To Live
When planning my trip to Italy I initially didn’t plan on going to Venice, but my friend advocated for it pretty hard. He said, “Yes, it’s very touristy, but it’s also amazing.” I trusted him and agreed to go. He was right. It was pretty much only tourists there, but it was so beyond anything like I’ve ever seen. Just arriving by train and walking out of the station was a surreal experience. Right when you exit the station it’s just there before very much like what entering an amusement park looks like. It just looked like something somebody would dream up, but not be a real place that functioned for centuries as a real city, but there it was. This was probably the most photogenic city I’ve ever been to. The light there was beautiful and there is not an ugly place anywhere in the city. It’s all stunningly beautiful. If you’ve never been, it’s a must see. Nothing you have seen in movies, TV, guide books, etc. do it justice. You have to be there in person.
