A one hour piece made with friends in the Bforartists server, pushing the filter I made this week. I love dual tone now. The turn outs great! The entries incredible, and the feedback session after was very edifying.

New project while I'm trying to figure out the rigging on the #cyberpunk #vtuber. I built a channel mascot in #bforartists. There's no materials, but the form is there. I also need to add eyes.

#blender or #bforartists #rigging weirdness: the bones for my #cyberpunk #vtuber in Object and Pose mode don't match where I put them in Edit Mode. Obviously, I can't move the bones individually in Object Mode, Pose Mode deforms the mesh, and Edit Mode is clearly not doing what I want. Suggestions?

Figure out joining the meshes for my #cyberpunk #vtuber. I joined them bit by bit rather than all at once. Now, I'm working on rigging. v3.0ɑ should be ready soon™.

I have "completed" the #cyberpunk #vtuber model I've been working on. I've got the top half done minus some details. Big problem now is that every time I try to join the meshes, #bforartists crashes.

More progress on the overall #cyberpunk #vtuber model. Basemesh and glasses are the only downloaded models, and those are because I'm not that bonkers. Most materials have been adjusted (except the glasses frames).

I'm working on a 3D #pngtuber in #Blender / #bforartists. The avatar is going to have a cybernetic arm. Bear in mind that I'm learning how to do this as I go. The blue in the attachment is an arm taken from a free human asset; it's being used as a template and surface for shrinkwrapping.

finished the cesium torch. first time doing a render in blender, lots of teething trouble. also, nodes for effect compositing is clunky as hell, i just want to have a talk with the engineer who decided that was a good idea.

Yeah, Blender is both awesome and intimidating! Start with a YouTube tutorial to make something simple and then go from there.

There’s also #BforArtists which is #Blender with a simplified UI for artists. Might work better for you

Massive thanks to @fideldestro.bsky.social for helping me get past a lack of knowledge with #blender / #bforartists. I was able to get a rough draft of a shaped wall sign. I still need to make up my mind on the fonts (right now, I'm happy with the script font, but am ambivalent about the other one).

I'm hitting some major frustration with #Blender / #BforArtists. I'm trying to make a concave quadrilateral with sharp corners. I don't have the patience to put in a bunch of loop cuts and adjust each one. I also want to be able to adjust it easily. I'm looking to make something like this. Ideas?

I am finding that my computer hates making shaders for #Blender / #Bforartists. It's crashed a couple times in the middle of compiling shaders. Makes it a bit difficult to see if it looks right.
