Bike rooms are great until you get all dressed and layered up for a cold ride only to find a flat. So you bring the bike up to the apartment to put in a new tube. Why bother taking off the layers, it'll take 5 minutes tops! 1 stubborn new tire, 2 pinched tubes, and 2 hrs later... #bikenyc

The brooklyn bridge bike lane improvements are great, but imo it really needs to be widened across the bridge. It’s an uncomfortable ride with lots of close passes by faster riders. It gets very busy at commuting time #bikenyc

The ever increasing price and decreasing quality of Citibike has made me look at folding bikes again. Seems like there are more options that fit my use case (multi-mode commuting into a pothole-laden city but with space under my desk) now than the last time I looked. #bikeNYC

I'm walking through queens plaza and I run into my wife, who's biking on the queensboro bike path. She stops for maybe two mins while I adjust her bike brakes. Someone biking by yells, "go on a date or something, but get out of the bike lane!"
Oh, if only he knew.. 😂

Central Park NYC's design by Olmsted and Vaux built dozens of bridges, creating grade-separated routes for four disparate users:
1 Carriages
2 Horse riders
3 Pedestrians
4 Traversers UWS <> UES
Following those Carriage routes, #bikeNYC retains most separation from pedestrians.

Curbside puddles are familiar to #gutterlane #bikelane riders.
New higher crosswalks also reduce #bikeNYC splashing.
