Was prescribed it for gut management after stoma reversal. Subsequently, few years later, learnt that 97% of patients who lose terminal ileum suffer from #bileacidmalabsorption. That is treated by a sequestrant, which I now take, but have never stopped the loperamide (only 2/day)
