We saw the masked male last week (complaining about his name), but the female Common Yellowthroat has a totally different look. No black mask, just a subtle yellow glow and a very large lunch.

A male American Goldfinch perches on a bent-over stem of catnip, pecking at some of the flowers, likely in attempt to take any produced seeds. The Goldfinch is very bright yellow with a white rear and tail, while he has a black eye mask pattern and the edge of his wings are black. There are white steps on his wings, a black band around the base of his tail, and his beak is greyish.
The male is looking at the viewer now, and it is easier to see that his beak is instead orange. A female of the same species can be seen further up in the catnip bush, partaking in the same activity the male Goldfinch was previously. The female American Goldfinch is a much duller yellow with black along the edge of her wings, and I believe her beak is also a little duller. She blends in significantly better than her highlighter companion.
In this image, both finches are in the same spots as before, and both are eating the seeds now. The male's stem is bent so far over that he's in line with the square rocks along the garden edge.
This shot is focused on the female American Goldfinch, who is giving the camera a side eye as she prepares to eat more catnip seeds. There appears to be a dark line between her eye and her beak.
