The Ruff is a medium-sized wading bird. It has a long neck, a small head, a short, slightly droopy bill and medium-long orange or reddish legs. this one has it's wings raised showing the white underside.
A ruff in a bit of a flap at Slimbridge WWT in Gloucestershire. Shot with an Eos R7 and 500mm RF lens. I just managed to catch this bird at the end of a check that its wings still work. #ukbirds #birs #photography

この足指は泳ぎには向かなさそう
昨日、マイフィールド１でクイナが泳いでいたので撮影したが、露出を失敗してしまった。
代わりに 2018/02/21 に撮影した泳ぐ姿と 2019/12/16 に撮影した飛ぶ姿
ついでに 2020/01/25 に撮影した普通の姿
飛んでいるのはなかなか目にしないけど、画像検策するとそこそこヒットするので「滅多に」ではないのかな？

渡り鳥だから当然飛べるのだが、飛んでいる姿は滅多に見られない。

How could you pass by this beauty and not take a shot? It's "only" a Great Blue Heron :-). I never get tired of seeing them even though I do every time I go out.
