Anders Osborne – Mind of a Junkie (2012)
From Black Eye Galaxy. Slow-building, candid lyrics on addiction, with a guitar solo that stretches and burns. A stark self portrait that doesn’t flinch.

Sleeping Beauty Galaxy
A spiral galaxy with a soft dark band across its bright core, like a galactic dream in shadow. When this light began its journey, early apes were just evolving.

Messier 64, also known as the Black Eye Galaxy or Sleeping Beauty Galaxy, a stunning spiral galaxy approximately 17 million light-years away in the Coma Berenices constellation. This image showcases its distinctive dark dust lane creating a "black eye" effect, along with reddish star-forming regions. The galaxy's unique feature is its counter-rotating inner and outer regions, a result of a past galactic merger.
