Oscar Ville, GA, a thriving black town wiped out nineteen twelve later drowned by Lake Lanier in the nineteen fifties. Coalinga ALE, home to the first black owned railroad gone buried under Lake Martin. Ferguson, SE. Vanished under Lake Marion during a government hydro project. Little Egypt, MC, A peaceful black fishing village submerged beneath Balloons, Lake Van Port, or Oregon, second largest city washed away in nineteen. Forty eight Black residents were never allowed to rebuild Seneca Village. And why see erased an eighteen fifty seven to build Central Park. These weren't accidents, These were black communities erased from the map. How many more we may never know share, believe, inspire blacks, be.
