There was a black cat called Astrid that fell into a tar pit. A white being came across her hand sticking out of the tar and saved her. Years later the white being called Malice and Astrid crossed paths again. As Astrid was in shock she didn't remember Malice was the one that had saved her. Malice is the peacekeeper/ forest guardian of the cats that live in the forest, along with a bird clan, a wolf clan and an otter clan. They were the child of celestial bodies shown by the beautiful stars, sun and the moon that shone in their white coat at night. With their powerful parentage comes a powerful life force; they didn't realise that when they saved Astrid they had incidentally fused her with what had killed her due to the tar already being in her body. Astrid became a shapeshifter that no one would accept because of the strange power. When Malice eventually told Astrid that they were the one who saved her Astrid smiled and replied that she remembered Malice the whole time and, while she was angry at them for a long time, she eventually realised that she can be who she truly is; the power to be a shapeshifter helped her realise she's actually non binary (they/them). Since then Malice and Astrid grew closer together. With the roaring bonfire of friendship ignited a small spark of romance between the two... but they never got to fan the flames. The bird clan and cat clan had been at odds since the start of time and eventually it led to a brutal war between the two ending with casualties on both sides. Astrid and Malice led the defense against the sneak attack; Malice coordinating the masses, Astrid utilizing their abilities to be a machine of destruction.
The war was nearly won, the cats would be victorious, but then a cry rang through the battlefield. Malice, with their attention divided among their clan didn't hear the bow being drawn; didn't sense the arrow headed straight for their heart; didn't see Astrid move faster than thought possible to take the arrow. The only indication that Malice got to show that something was wrong was the universe bracing itself for their wrath. As they heard the thunk of the arrow against Astrid's tar-like body their very soul quivered and everyone on the battlefield took a collective breath. Malice's eyes clouded, their white and glowing body dulling with each moment. They knelt beside Astrid and held their paw, in response Astrid gave a small squeeze and tried to speak while tears ran down their face, but the universe was cruel. Some heroes die and some get to live; some heroes shed tears while others scream; some heroes gets to say goodbye or confess their love to the person holding their hand, others don't. Astrid went limp and Malice hung their head low and then raised their paw without a word. Ten souls were taken from those surrounding the couple, bird and cat alike. The souls were a rainbow of colours swirling around their paw and taking place in Astrid as Malice held their paw to their chest and kissed their cheek. The ghostly appearance of Malice was no more and Astrid's black coat was dotted with stars, a sun and a moon. They opened their eyes witnessing everyone looking at them with nothing to say as bodies littered the ground. They felt the souls Malice had taken to bring them back and knew the sacrifice their friend had made. Astrid felt the power of the universe coursing through them and felt the knowledge of the wind itself, but they made a choice. They brought the souls out of their own body and back to their owners, they healed all and reunited all those on the battlefield with the life they had lost.
There were no casualties of the battle apart from Malice who would live on in Astrid, now Astral. While dealing with the death of their closest/ only friend and beloved Astral now had to take on the responsibilities that Malice left behind to keep everything balanced and in harmony with the leaders of the other three clans, all children of the celestials, but none as powerful as Malice was.

A young tiefling woman who is visibly (to the aritst, anyways) offspring of my elf BG3 Tav Ixora and Gnver Gortash. She has pale skin and short bone-white horns and has a number of piercings, including on the space of her tail. She wears a maroon bikini and is unbuttoning a sheer black coverup with a spiderweb pattern. She is a clockwork sorcerer, so there are floating gears in the background. (A Daddy's Girl, this one.)
I've posted a lot of my Ixora/Gortash firstborn, Caleb, but this was my first time actually drawing his younger sister, Chanrtieri (Eri)! She's a spicy gorl.
She turned out pretty perfect, and this might be the best I've ever drawn tiefling ridges.
