This 1921 florin doesn't look like much, but it was my first silver florin. We started collecting florins late in 1991 ahead of their upcoming demonetisation. I got this florin from a friend who had about 30 silver ones.

Most Victorian pennies turn up incredibly worn, to the point at which they're barely recognisable. This 1891 penny is an exception. The obverse is still pretty worn but on the reverse all the details are still visible. #coins #numismatics #BLSCoinClub

Today's #CoinOfTheWeek - this recently acquired 1932 Florin! A particularly low mintage in a series of relatively low mintages, only 717,041 were known to have been minted. The obverse was designed by Bertram McKennal and the reverse by George Kruger Gray. #coins #numismatics #blscoinclub
