The male tries to catch the female with his fork-like appendages on his back, after some struggle, as the female climbs on top of the male they decide to mate #insects

Below freezing at noon today in East Yorkshire, so a good excuse (like one is needed!) to revisit the Snow Fleas (Boreus hyemalis). ❄️ Photo nicely shows the male's vestigial wings, which he hooks over the female's front legs when mating (she is on top). #Mecoptera #ento #ukwildlife #Boreus

There HAS to be a better/more interesting way into #Warhammer40K lore than this book.

Everyone I’ve talked to has sworn their first born on this series but it’s just… not it.
