As an old timer (played Basic D&D back in 1978):

WotC and Hasbro treat their creative workers like garbage. Their mass layoffs right before Christmas, 2023, sacking the staff who created Baldur’s Gate 3, was garbage.

They are slick Chads who don’t respect the 5e player community.
