A still from "Resort to Love", with a black woman of about 40 (actress Christina Milian, wearing a loose cover over a one-piece swimsuit, is talking to an absolutely shredded man a year or two younger (actor Sinqua Walls), clad in just blue swim trunks. A word balloon has her saying "Oh, don't worry about my daughter, I ex-pecs she'll be fine. Uh, expect, that is, I expect she'll be fine. She's really mature for her abs. Age! She's mature for her AGE!" In the caption, the woman is "Felix" and uses he/him pronouns, though he's quite flustered by having this reaction to Tariq, even if everyone on staff thinks there should be some sort of spark between the two best-looking members of the faculty; Felix likes Tariq in part because he's so devoted to his boyfriend and there's no need to perform femininity with him. Tariq knows him as Lisbeth, though; Felix was in a tour bus accident and had his body diverted to some secret lab under the hospital where his brain was transplanted into this body, with a note saying it's a clone of someone important to the doctor. Fortunately, the "Lisbeth" identity had a similar background to Felix, so he was able to find a new job fairly quickly, though he kind of planned to transition back to manhood once he'd gotten what he could from this as a learning experience and it wouldn't feel like taunting his friend Jay. Which is why getting tongue-tied at Tariq's sculpted form was so unnerving - Felix was suddenly acutely aware that (a) he was only invited on this trip because T's boyfriend had left him and (b) there were rumors about him being bi, and maybe they weren't just wishful thinking on the part of the female faculty!
A still from the movie "Torque", with a dismayed looking asian man (actor Will Yun Lee) standing behind the motorcycle he'd parked in front of a diner, looking away from a black girl (actress Christina Milian) wearing a red halter top, leather pants, and boots, saying "Oh, don't worry about what people are going to think! The birthday on my license doesn't mean anything!" The girl - "Becky" - understands why Rick is dismayed upon seeing that her driver's license puts her short of her 17th birthday, and maybe it's accurate, if Dr. Whoever created this second clone in 2009 and let it age naturally until transplanting Jay's brain into it. Still, having been on the other side of 50 before then, she was determined not to waste a moment of this second chance. Granted, she was still kind of the same nerd who had met with his internet buddy Felix before the tour bus accident; part of this secret road trip taken while Felix was in Hawaii with Tariq is checking out old video games and pinball machines. She usually tried to avoid making trouble for Felix as his daughter, but high school was boring and so were high school boys, and if Felix's students guessed wrong on her age, she wasn't correcting them. Not that she'd been particularly interested in boys until a few weeks ago; but some time-released chemical in this clone body must be altering her brain chemistry so that being a girl feels right and being attracted to boys feels righter! She figures it's probably being boosted by her adolescent hormones, so she doesn't know if Felix is getting this extra help settling in, what with being fully grown and maybe even going through menopause and all.
Today's #BrainTransplant captions says "When Lisbeth's Away, Becky Will Play!" Lisbeth asked for the inverse of one where I became the mother and her the daughter.
