Also: even though I set up a source and destination account, #bridgy seems effectively ignore my "real" BSKY account.

Agreed — of the hundreds of people I followed on Bluesky before moving back to Mastodon, only one account had already enabled the bridge when I searched. I've also found that sending Bridgy invites (by DMing Bluesky handles to Bridgy Fed) has been a total waste of time so far.

TIL... you probably shouldn't use Mastodon's "delete and re-draft" function to fix typos in replies to bridged Bluesky mutuals. It works perfectly here but creates an orphaned thread on their side.🤦🏿‍♂️

Looks like bsky -> bridgy -> sharkey federation breaks when posting a whole thread at once. Looking at my own bridged profile, only single posts have federated - anything I posted as a "thread" failed to bridge.
