Romano-British relief of three water nymphs, probably from the shrine dedicated to the nymphs at Coventina’s Well, just east of #Brocolitia #Roman Fort (Carrawburgh). They have cups in one hand and are pouring water from jars.

Remains of the Brocolitia Temple of Mithras on Hadrian’s Wall in Northumberland. Situated next to Carrawburgh Roman Fort, the temple was built in around 200 AD. 📸 My own. #RomanSiteSaturday #RomanBritain #Brocolitia #HadriansWall
Stormy skies on the Hadrian’s Wall path this weekend. The sheep in the foreground are on the east wall of #Brocolitia #RomanFort on #HadriansWall in #Northumberland. The fort was constructed after AD 122 and before AD 130 as plans for the Wall changed.
