Trans rights are human rights! On Saturday 26 April Birmingham stood in solidarity with the trans community and trans+ voices were heard in the city. The protest was one of many happening that weekend as protesters took to the streets across the UK. The previous weekend saw people protesting up and down the country, including thousands that marched through London. The protests are in response to the recent High Court ruling that has emboldened people who want to attack trans+ rights. Protesters were joined by former Birmingham poet laureate Jasmine Gardosi who will recited a poem at the event.
