Made some headway with Linus, my lovebird, today. We get a long pretty well but I noticed he has some behavior problems recently so I did some research to see what I was doing wrong. Long story short, I learned how to ask him to step up and it made a difference. #BskyBirds

An Eastern Rosella (a medium-sized parrot of primarily yellow/green/blue colouration with a red head and white throat patch) in a tree. The tricky bit in this one was getting focus on the bird (the literal bird's eye) and not on the twig between me and the bird!

A Sulphur Crested Cockatoo (a large white parrot with a yellow crest) peeking out from behind a tree-trunk.

An Eastern Rosella (a medium-sized parrot of primarily yellow/green/blue colouration with a red head and white throat patch) on the ground, feeding on grass seeds.

A juvenile Crimson Rosella, perched on a tree branch and chewing on a twig. Crimson Rosellas are primarily red and blue in colouration, but the juveniles have a lot of green, as well, before their plumage matures. This one is about half-way along, +/-

I took a new(ish) camera+lens rig out for a walk this afternoon in the north of Canberra (before I head back to Sydney; a bit unexpectedly). I'm still learning to use the new gear, but I think these came out OK...
