A poem I wrote, which reads: Letters worn thin with time, creased like my body that has learned how to hold softness without folding in on itself. I am no longer waiting to be written. I am the page that remembers every hand that tried to tear through it, all the spilled ink that believed it would not fade. I am beautifully read, every day- not for what was said to me, but for all the ways I learned to write myself anew.

I’ve written 109 poems in about a year. Feeling really happy for myself. Despite all the doubts and worries, I’ve grown more comfortable with my voice.

Don’t ever let anyone tell you you can’t or shouldn’t express yourself through any creative medium.

A poem I wrote, which reads Somewhere between the breaking and the mending we became something softer- something strong and true. I close my eyes and I see us: a little older, ripened by time, your hair catching the last gold fleck of the sun, my head resting on your right shoulder. We sit on the bank, your fingers tracing slow paths down my arm, like you never want to forget the shape of me. I look ahead- more mornings, more laughter, more versions of us still unfolding. I don't need forever all at once. Just this: your hand in mine, and the quiet promise that we'll keep ripening together.
