Color photo. The bottom half is the dark water of Puget Sound, covered in gentle waves. A line of reflected sunlight brightens a line on the right side, and the silhouette of a sailboat can be seen in it. The far shore is a line of dark trees, and the sky is full of clouds that barely hide the sun.
I had an urge yesterday evening to see the sunset over the water, so I drove over to Carkeek Park for it.
I was well rewarded, I think.

It is salmon spawning season at Carkeek Park in Seattle. The salmon stewards at the park say the fish came early and in large numbers this year. But they also had beavers that made the job of swimming upstream a little harder. #seattle #salmonspawn #carkeekpark
