I've been on a Jane Fonda kick since the #TCMFF announcement. Today I watched #CatBallou (1965, Elliot Silverstein) 🤠 I can't recommend it highly enough. A genuinely funny, charming Western comedy with great performances by Fonda and Lee Marvin.

This comedy is a lot of fun thanks to a spirited title perf by (gorgeous) Jane Fonda and a hilarious comedic turn by Lee Marvin as drunken gun-for-hire Kid Shelleen.
Also love Stubby Kaye/Nat King Cole as narrating minstrels.

Oh, Cat Ballou. One of my mom's favorite movies—she would insist that we kids watch it with her every time it was shown on network TV. For that reason alone, I have a hard time criticizing it.
Also: I really do think that Lee Marvin deserved every ounce of that Oscar.
