Although he's alone on stage, he shares the screen with Elizabeth Rose Bloodflame, her enraptured expression reflected onto the monitor. One hand pushes and cracks the screen, the other holds a penlight, balanced between his stage and her room. More subjective rambling: Wanted to show the idol/fan codependence and that the fan can be an idol in their own right, inspired by their idol. But there's a bit of meta(?) awareness that while yes Liz is an idol, there's still a screen between non idol (me) and the subjects of this drawing, made tangible by the monitor boundary. A separation between our worlds that the codependence and mutual inspiration can't bridge. Attempting to bridge that distance can be damaging. Cracking the screen damages the medium that connects you to your idol and while also hurting you.
