Lighting study with basic cold/warm lights and shadows. Honestly he looks pale under bright/blue light but that might be unavoidable. Also overlay is the main blending mode here #chalkugaki

Vanta Halloween outfit. Felt like it was too similar to my bettl shadow so likely won’t finish. I do want to continue trying to draw him in shadow bc I have learned the tragic truth that multiply does not do shadows on dark skin well so I have to get better at manually color picking. I’ve done it with references, but I need more study to do it just knowing the general lighting/shadow situation

The fix is realizing I can’t draw faces turned away… I think I like the energy of faces looking towards the viewer more but maybe I should change that up. Brightened/reddened colors and added back the wink which was the original plan
