I do agree that Howard's #Tampa and #ChildrenOverboard tactics and lies set a new low in Australian politics. Sadly, it seems almost everyone has been quite okay with following that precedent. He didn't lose that election, either.

Howard won the #Tampa and #ChildrenOverboard election and the ALP (Kim Beazley) did nothing about it really. Also, we couldn't even vote for #TheVoice. We kept small children locked up in island detention and let their teeth rot. We already let it happen here.

Sometimes I wonder: If Hewson had won that election, might we never have had JH? If we never had JH, would we still have lurched so far to the right? Keating did move us to the right as well. Cannot blame JH for everything...
