A stylish pair of vintage 1950s 60s one of a kind handmade sterling silver Chinese modernist design screwback earrings by American studio metalsmith Peggy Miller. Entirely handmade hand fabricated from sterling silver sheet that has been cut out in two pieces. Below is a flat disk of sterling, and above is a cut-out shape that resembles a Chinese character. The lower disk has been partially oxidized (black) to make the upper section really 'pop' visually! Each earring measures just under 1" in diameter, and the pair weigh just over 10 grams total. Marked at backs as shown, "Peggy Miller", and "Sterling". Excellent vintage condition.
