Just finished reading The Black Cauldron by Lloyd Alexander, I liked it.
The Chronicles of Prydain books are kinda like the Lord of the Rings books, but shorter.
That animated movie by Disney missed out on a lot of good stuff by trying to squeeze two books into one movie.

I have been reading the Chronicles of Prydain by Lloyd Alexander. Just such solid fantasy with a lot of heart. Alexander does a really good job of showing the character growth with each installment.
