Today, #Circumetnea on the narrow gauge train of FCE. First, Metro had to bring me to Nesima station to take the replacement bus to Paternò, that part is suspended due to long-term construction.
Finally, starting in Paternò with train #9 to Randazzo.
Weather is clear today, other than last weekend.😎

The map shows then rail route but also the parallel bus route.

Does this suggest that long-term the railway will disappear? Its’s already lost 20km at the Catania end.

Wer die #Circumetnea nochmal vollständig in ihrer aktuellen Ausprägung befahren will, sollte dies bis Ende Mai 2024 tun. Zumindest laut DSO. Dann soll der Abschnitt Catania Borgo - Adrano (Centro?) zugunsten einer U-Bahn eingestellt werden:
