#Wayland and #input methods?
Yeah, I think I paid back for what I messed up.
I wrote a description of every feature I could remember – implemented or not yet implemented – on my #blog .
With this, I'm moving on and shuffling away from the stage.

Coming soon to #Orgro for #iOS:
Thanks to bug fixes in #Flutter 3.41, if you set the #+LANGUAGE: appropriately in your Org document, you can get the correct CJK glyphs for your specific locale.

Why #Markdown's emphasis syntax (`**`) fails outside of Western languages: A deep dive into #CommonMark's “delimiter run” flaws and their impact on #CJK users.

I tallied up which #freesoftware repos I have to modify every time (¹) I want to see the effect of my #wayland work:
- wayland-protocols
- wayland-rs
- smithay-client-toolkit
- winit
- maybe xilem
- smithay, twice
- my own input method demo
And then hopefully upstream it all.
Rinse and repeat […]
Another day, another #Wayland protocol.
Still working on improving input methods. Just "finished" a feature useful especially to #CJK languages (#Chinese , #Japanese , #Korean ):

#Wayland input methods.
I'm sorry to say #iced doesn't have enough people with review/merge rights, so my work making #Chinese and #Japanese #input good on Wayland is going nowhere.
What are other #Rust #GUI libraries I could contribute to instead?
#cjk #opensource #nlnet
Another weekend, another couple of steps fixing the input method mess I (partly) started:
gitlab.freedesktop.org/wayland/wayland-protocol...
Keyboard support and moving popups.

Project supported by @nlnet keeps going!
@iced
I took #iced in crosshairs and want to make it the best #GUI for #Wayland input methods.
If there's interest, of course.
First results:

Back to #Wayland and input methods.
What's your favorite input method?
Cause for me it was the one on old #Nokia phones. I could type with my hands in my pockets! Handy in winter.

Tested with #cosmic and #GTK .
This is just […]
