Who doesn’t like receiving some mail? X-Men #96. In decent shape too. 98 and 99 should arrive later this week #ClaremontRun

Couldn't sleep last night, so I did late night comic hunting on eBay. Submitted an offer for a copy of X-Men #96 thinking it wouldn't be accepted. It was. Didn't realize it until this morning. Whoops! Now I'll have X-Men #96. First appearance of Moira MacTaggert #ClaremontRun

Uncanny X-Men #118 from February 1978 and the business card for Emerald City Comics.

Visiting my parents in St. Pete, FL and you know I had to go to a comic shop. They took me to #EmeraldCityComics. Found this #xmen issue for a good price to further complete my #claremontrun. Good selection, friendly staff. Highly recommend.

Finally finished single issue reread of the #ClaremontRun !
Chris Claremont wrote Uncanny X-Men #94 to #279 - not a typo

So much X-canon, how we think of the X-Men is directly from these pages

Finished the Muir Island Saga. Read X-Men (1991) #1 to #3, since Claremont wrote them after UXM279

Know I’m posting a lot abt #ClaremontRun lately - I’m just sad it’s ending (6 issues left).

Had to shout out #JimLee work in X-Men #275. He’s finding another gear.

Just look at this beautiful start to the issue! Fold out 3-page cover, first page, splash/title page. The sheer effort…

The nine X-family comics that make up the X-Tinction Agenda event from 1990: Uncanny X-Men #270-272 New Mutants #95-97 X-Factor #60-62

#ClaremontRun read through, only 11 Uncanny X-Men issues left!

Since we are at the X-Tinction Agenda event, it’s only 9 issues, and I have them all figured I’d read the whole event.

I’ll put any fun stuff I run across below.

Decided this last page of UXM #269 drawn by Jim Lee is one of my fav Magneto panels/pages ever

And look, X-Tinction Agenda is up next. Ad came right after the Magneto page. If that doesn’t bring you back next month, don’t know what will.

Panel where I’m pretty sure Gambit first charges a card

Gambit: “A pleasure, chere.”
Eyes flash.
And a playing card begins to glow —
— charged full of energy in less time than it takes to tell.

Lots of people talk about UXM #266 and #268, for good reasons.

But here’s a shout-out to #267:
- Gambit first charges a card
- Orphan Maker and Nanny (cont.)
- Storm mentions the X-Men to Gambit

Diving back into the #ClaremontRun read through tonight, following a short break.

After reading 160 issues, I’m kind of sad there are only 27 left to go. Although the Outback Era reread has been as fun as I’d hoped.

And a GSX1 homage cover starts it off!

The hits keep coming in the #ClaremontRun read through. For #248 we see Jim Lee’s first work on the X-Men (though he did previously work on Alpha Flight). What a gift that ended up being.

And we get Nanny and Orphan Maker!

Happy #mutantmonday here’s a panel that shouts out Forbidden Planet in NYC during Inferno in Excalibur #7 (1989).

So many pop culture references in the #ClaremontRun - were also Freddy Krueger and Rambo-ish plots this issue. Prob more Star Wars references in the Claremont run than anything else.

Inferno story time in the #ClaremontRun read through.

Figured I’d read all the Inferno singles, but didn’t realize 17 of the 39 issues are non-X books (that I don’t have). This is a big jump up from Mutant Massacre and Fall of the Mutants. These’ll have to do.

Anyone else very excited that we should def see some Broodsign when the X-MCU kicks off?!
