Couldn't sleep last night, so I did late night comic hunting on eBay. Submitted an offer for a copy of X-Men #96 thinking it wouldn't be accepted. It was. Didn't realize it until this morning. Whoops! Now I'll have X-Men #96. First appearance of Moira MacTaggert #ClaremontRun

Uncanny X-Men #118 from February 1978 and the business card for Emerald City Comics.

Visiting my parents in St. Pete, FL and you know I had to go to a comic shop. They took me to #EmeraldCityComics. Found this #xmen issue for a good price to further complete my #claremontrun. Good selection, friendly staff. Highly recommend.

Since we are at the X-Tinction Agenda event, it’s only 9 issues, and I have them all figured I’d read the whole event.

After reading 160 issues, I’m kind of sad there are only 27 left to go. Although the Outback Era reread has been as fun as I’d hoped.

The hits keep coming in the #ClaremontRun read through. For #248 we see Jim Lee’s first work on the X-Men (though he did previously work on Alpha Flight). What a gift that ended up being.

Whole comic page (last one) from Uncanny X-Men #244 Shows Psylocke, Rogue, Dazzler and Storm wondering what happened to the kid (Jubilee). Gateway creates a portal for them to teleport back to Australia and they leave. Jubilee decides the mall isn’t safe any more. Talking to herself: “Mistake - or invitation? Don’t really know who they are… or where they went. If I follow I could just be making things worse.” Says “I don’t care!” and jumps through as it closes.

Finally finished the Inferno issues I had in the #ClaremontRun and right on the other side is the first app of Jubilee in Uncanny X-Men #244! #comicsrule

In Excalibur #7 Nightcrawler bursts into a random shop to escape demons and just happens to be Forbidden Planet comic shop in NYC

Happy #mutantmonday here’s a panel that shouts out Forbidden Planet in NYC during Inferno in Excalibur #7 (1989).

So many pop culture references in the #ClaremontRun - were also Freddy Krueger and Rambo-ish plots this issue. Prob more Star Wars references in the Claremont run than anything else.

Figured I’d read all the Inferno singles, but didn’t realize 17 of the 39 issues are non-X books (that I don’t have). This is a big jump up from Mutant Massacre and Fall of the Mutants. These’ll have to do.
