#WhatIsItWednesday? Here we have a 1935 pattern Luftwaffe steel helmet with national decal and eagle and swastika emblems on it. It was found in Sicily by a soldier of the Welch Regiment in 1943.

Today we #remember William 'Willie' Henry Seager, 10th Battalion, South Wales Borderers, killed in action on February 7th 1916 at Neuve Chapelle. Willie was buried in the St Vaast Post Military Cemetery, Richebourg L’avoue, France. He was 23 years old.

Portrait of 17828 Pte John Britton, 14th Bn Welsh Reg. Pte Britton was wounded in 1917 but recovered to rejoin his regiment at the front. He was killed in action on the 8th May 1918. Pte Britton is buried at Hedauville Cemetery, near Albert in France. #WW1 #LestWeForget #CollectionCloseUp
