SOCIUM NOVUM - A lomography project with a compact camera of the brand and type: Panorama AW-200. In 1991, a group of Austrian students discovered an easy-to-use camera, the Lomo LC-A (Lomo Compact Automatic), in Prague. The camera was manufactured in Saint Petersburg and was built mostly from plastic. Its simple operation was what excited the students. In 1992, they founded the Lomographische Gesellschaft. The society started selling the camera all over the world and began promoting lomography. Lomography is a photographic technique that involves very spontaneous shooting and can be described as experimental snapshot photography. Lomographers' motto is: 'Don't think, just shoot!' Common aesthetic and technical rules are ignored. The ten golden rules in Lomography clarify this statement: 1. Take your camera everywhere you go; 2. Use it anytime, day or night; 3. Lomography is a part of your life; 4. Practice shooting freehand; 5. Get as close to the subject as possible; 6. Don't think; 7. Be quick; 8. You don't need to know in advance what is in the picture; 9. Nor, for that matter, afterwards; 10. Don't worry about these rules. Lomographers photograph not only with a Lomo LC-A type camera, but also other, mostly analogue, simply built cameras. In my case, this is the Panorama AW-200.
