Today was my pre-assessment day at the hospital for anaesthetics. I arrived early, had an ECG before my appointment. All my vitals were checked, and blood was drawn. 40 minutes all in all.

Tomorrow, I'm back at the hospital for my CT scan.

Having Both Adenomas and Serrated Polyps Significantly Increases Risk of Advanced Colorectal Neoplasia Researchers from Flinders University and Flinders Medical Centre conducted a large-scale review of over 8,400 colonoscopy records to investigate the cancer risks associated with common bowel polyps. The findings support the importance of regular colonoscopies for early detection and removal of polyps, particularly for those over 45 or with family history. In Australia, where bowel cancer is a leading cause of cancer deaths, these results highlight the value of programs like the National Bowel Cancer Screening Program and tailored follow-up schedules to mitigate risks from concurrent cancer pathways.
