A comet appears in the early evening sky, its long dust trail following dramatically behind it. The sky in the upper part of the image is dark blue, showing the evening stars appearing in the southern hemisphere. As the sky above transitions to horizon, it becomes lighter blue, with fewer visible stars. At the horizon, it appears dusky orange above the landscape below.
