Finally (after an “interesting” loop of emails & voicemails that threatened to become infinite), I’ve booked the Braemar Youth Hostel for tomorrow! #FridayNight🥳 #PlanB #MunroBagging #CorbettBagging (?) #12DaysOfFreedom

Met Office: At midday there will be almost no showers between Glasgow and the Cairngorms, with a lot of blue sky. Showers will drift in over the afternoon, but not as many as originally thought.

There’s a random window for an impromptu hillwalk this afternoon, but the forecast was Bad so I was going to have to downgrade it to e.g. a bit of the West Highland Way.

Woke up this morning and there’s been a major upgrade. This is back on… #CorbettBagging

3rd and 4th hillwalks over the last two days, in baking heat. I still remember winter though, so no complaints here. @walkhighlands.co.uk #BenVrackie #MeallTairneachan #CorbettBagging

Sep 2011: suddenly met A Significant Other, but was already planning a week-long Highlands tour.

After another day #CorbettBagging in Arran, I ended up at Corrour following the obscene advice of a guidebook and accidentally rock-climbing up Creag Ghuanach. 😵‍💫

In 2015, in mist and without GPS. I went to the wrong cairn on #AuchnafreeHill, but I always keep receipts. Today, it was finally time to finish the nine-year hillwalk. #BeinnNaGainimh #CorbettBagging #FionaBagging @walkhighlands.co.uk

Me at the trig point of Shalloch on Minnoch. The real summit is 7m higher and a few hundred metres away, but for some reason I stopped here with my Grandad in 20023, before finally rectifying things in 2018.
