Reddish in color with medium intensity. Red fruits on the nose and medium plus in body with medium acidity. Dry on the palate with mild complexity. Showing sweet raspberries, cherries, red currants, earth, light wood, chocolates and black pepper. Tart and short finish with soft tannins. This 5 year old Italian red blend is a little unbalanced at this point. Was probably better a couple of years ago. A nice food wine though, that would pair nicely with pizza. A blend of 85% Corvina Veronese, 10% Rondinella and 5% Corvinone. 13.5% alcohol by volume. 86 points. $20.
