While I was in #Richmond I crossed over to #Cremorne and checked out #FF Fitness First’s new digs and the redevelopment site in the old Bryant & May matches factory (1909, designed by William Pitt who also did the Princess Theatre & Rialto Building), now the site of the Hoxton Hotel.

Going somewhere new on Saturday. Due to public transport, I'll be there 15 minutes before it opens. But good news: The cafe nearby has tiramisu! I know what I'll be eating while I wait :-) #Cremorne #Richmond #VIC

Another day breaks over a half eaten Nylex Silos. The towers in the sky stand defiantly reminding us of an industrial cathedral. One of my long-term photography projects documenting this rapidly changing suburb.

The suburb of Cremorne in Melbourne is changing rapidly, once an industrial suburb its homes and old industrial buildings are fast disappearing. This was part of the Bryant and May factory that made Redhead matches, being demolished for a hotel complex.
