Sophie is holding up a Styrofoam head with an unpainted zip tie crown on it. She has drawn additional zip ties at the side to determine whether or not she wants to add them.
Sophie is wearing an unpainted zip tie ray crown. The rays stop above her ears, which she is happy with.
The unpainted zip tie crown is on a gold cardboard square on the table. Sophie is holding up a hot glue gun, which was used to help temporarily keep the rays in place.
Sophie is wearing the unpacking zip tie ray crown, now (temporarily) glued into place and cut into shape. The rays alternate in length in repeating groups, with three long rays next two two thinner and shorter rays. The effect is reminiscent of art deco ray designs, or of a snowflake.
My latest #WIP, which will be a Christmas gift. I'm already taking notes, as I'm liking how this is turning out ๐ It's far more #ArtDeco than I expected, which is great

A gold ray crown is sitting on a dark wooden table. There are warm yellow-orange marigolds arranged along the bottom arch of the halo crown. On the rays are gold filigree in the shapes of triangles, columns, and butterflies. What makes this photo unique is that the first segment has dark yellow, clear rhinestones and silver rhinestones lining some of the rays around the triangles; the second segment has light yellow, more opaque rhinestones along with the same silver rhinestones; and the third segment has alternating dark and light yellow rhinestones beside the silver rhinestones.

Been experimenting with rhinestones to help me get through the grief of world affairs. I've chosen which arrangement I want to use, but I thought you'd enjoy seeing the different options I came up with.
