Chalice is wrapped up in slider web, after getting a small paper cut. The Devil, who turned into a large spider, is quite satisfied with himself.

“Anyone care to explain what this is about...?” King Dice asks after getting home from his shift and looking up at something questionable.

Devil carried Chalice, who is still wrapped up like a kitten. She is not pleased and requests for Dice to not ask about the matter. Bonus: They agree that Devil needs to learn how to take care of a mortal child but Dice will keep a closer eye on him.

“Well, a lot happened since that day. Chalice moved into hell against my agreement and I figured that I can use her to get her and her friends' souls. It was a pretty ingenious plan if I may say so myself!” The Devil holds up the adoption documents. “But something got in between that made things become a bit more... complicated. Then we only had to buy her, honestly surprised that children still don't have rights. I thought mortals got rid of slavery- at least she ended up with us.”

King Dice voices his concerns from off-screen. “Honey, please be careful what you say. We don't own her, we adopted her, there is a difference and if you keep this up we might get called into the school again or our suitability might be in question ...again...” The Devil appears surprised. “Oh”

The Devil fumbles as he tries to explain the situation in more detail. “Ahem- anyway, things have changed. She simply won our heart and when we asked her whether she would want to be officially adopted, Chalice was very happy. She's been returned to the orphanage a lot and considering that we can't have children and I always longed for a family, adoption was the only option. Paper or not doesn't matter though, she is our daughter and even if we could have children the traditional way, we wouldn't give her away for anything.” He pauses. “And then there's also the fact that... nevermind...” He trails off, ending the conversation.

“I wouldn't say that either of us is a "good" or "bad" cop, we both just try our best in raising Chalice and I don't think we have specifis roles because we just take the one needed in the moment...” King Dice ponders. “... but Devil can be a bit irresponsible and too loose with his parenting, that's when I usually have to intervene and be more strict.”

“Dice is the ‘bad’ cop. I am obviously more evil but Dice has become almost as bad as Stickler around Chalice.” The Devil points at his husband with a smirk. [King Dice is not actually a Stickler; Devil is simply not willing to parent at all and scared of Chalice's rejection but he is getting better and Dice is loving with their daughter as well. She loves both of them equally (even if Devil allows her sweets before bed unlike Dice).]

“MAYBE I WOULDN’T HAVE TO BE IF YOU TOOK ANY RESPONSIBILITY!” King Dice retorts rather upset. “You're cute when you are mad, hehehe~” The Devil titters off-screen.

“Oh, you mean Mister Cuddles? Dad gave him to me shortly after I moved back into hell. Henchman told me that he was sewing him all night after I had a nightmare!” Chalice says, holding her teddy bear. “He said that he only did it, so I would not be alone and stop crying because it annoyed him…”

She smirks. “But I know the truth, he can be a real jerk and idiot but he can also be really sweet even if he hates to admit it. At least he is starting to become more open with his feelings thanks to papa.”

"Say, Chalice, how did you get that teddy bear?"

“Well…” Chalice ponders.

“...my dad offered me a deal after I died, giving me a second chance but also later using me to betray the dingdongs...” Chalice thinks back to the moment when she landed in hell and The Devil offered her a deal, then thinks of King Dice’s evil expression during his moderation of their dance battle. “...while papa tried to get rid of me after I moved into hell because I was supposedly in his way. He almost got both of us killed in the lower levels…” She refers to an event after the show.

“He tried to throw me into the deepest layer and have me get eaten by demons, we only made it out after being forced to work together but he did almost leave me behind in the end.” Chalice does not look pleased. “Not that dad was much better... he only took me in to get my friends' and my souls again and if he didn't save us, I don't think I ever would have trusted him... they are better now but they are still loony idiots sometimes.” Her parents stand in the back; Devil seems shocked at that information and a bit hurt by her words while Dice evades eye contact and appears more embarrassed by his past actions.

“Lovely question! She didn't in the beginning but now that she is more comfortable around us, she does quite often. I actually took a picture of one time when I got home late after a show...” He holds up a polaroid with Devil and Chalice.

“I never expected to become a father one day but seeing them this peaceful together...” He holds the polaroid to his chest, there is a close up of it showing Devil and Chalice sleeping and cuddling. “…made me realise that there is something more important than money, fame or power.” (He says this but him and Devil still don’t give those up, Chalice is simply a priority now.)

“I just can't let them find out that I took this picture.” Blurry close-up of the same picture as he says this, they wouldn’t be pleased that he carries this around with himself.
